Alicia Muir Photography|Its already been a year

A Year Ago From Today.

For those of you who don't know me, My name is Alicia Muir. I am a junior in high school and living life. I am also the owner of Alicia Muir Photography. Photography has been become a great passion of mine over this last year. It all started when I was browsing around on facebook and came upon a page called Trevor Dayley Photography. I decided I was going to click on this page. I have looked at other photographers page, but this time, it was very very different. I clicked on the page and started to look at the photos. Let me just say, these were truly incredible photos. My jaw began to drop. Seriously I was in total awe. His work was{and still is} amazing. I began to think about myself becoming a photographer too. Could I do actually that? Could I take photos so incredible as his? I began to look into getting a camera more and more. I confronted my parents about it. Of course they said no because the cost of the camera I wanted was too much and they didn't trust me to have such a valuable item as that. So I began to work and work my butt of. I did everything I could to get money for my camera. I was going to get this camera and I was going to be a photographer. When I had about half of the money all saved up my parents confronted me and said that they were willing to pay half of my camera. A smile lit up my face and I started jumping up and down, praising the lord and my parents. That next day was the start of something new. I went to the store to get my camera. Words can't describe how giddy I was to get home and just open that box. When I got home I raced up into my room. I was one happy girl. I opened that box and held that camera in my hand. I was so beyond happy that I finally got a camera and That I could start my career. As a 15 year old I didn't expect to get that far. Who in the heck would hire a 15 year old to take pictures? No one will. BUT I was wrong. I was so wrong. Over the last year I have been blessed to be able to do many family, portrait, senior and wedding shoots. As a 16 year old now, I am truly thankful and truly blessed to be where I am at today, and I thanks Trevor Dayley for that honestly. He was my inspiration and still is today. Thanks Trevor. Can't wait to see what the year 2013 brings for Alicia Muir Photography. I really love what I do. Im just a teenage girl who loves the world through a lens.
